The original heater runs on logs.

Before controllers and kilowatts, sauna heat came from a stove and a stack of birch. Harvia's wood-burning stoves keep that ritual honest — complete kits with the chimney included, for saunas that live beyond the last power line.

Living with fire.

The stove, the stones and the full chimney kit — flue sections, rain cap, flashing and heat shielding — matched to the stove so nothing gets improvised on the roof. You supply dry firewood and a match.
None. That's its argument: a wood-fired sauna works at the cabin, the lakeside, the off-grid acreage — anywhere you can stack logs. No trench, no electrician, no utility bill.
Softer and more alive. A wood stove climbs gradually, carries the scent of the burn, and the crackle is part of the session. The trade is attention: you tend a fire instead of pressing a button, which is either the cost or the entire point.
Most rural and suburban regions allow them; some urban districts regulate solid-fuel appliances. Give us your address in the quote and we flag what applies — including chimney clearance rules — before you commit.
